A Note from Udi:

I have been traveling back and forth from Knoxville in recent months so it was clear to me that tonight I will have dinner at Martha Bogg’s restaurant “The Bistro”. After reading her story about denying service to Tennessee Senetor Stacy Campfield in protest against his “Don’t Say Gay Bill”, I had to meet her!

I felt in my heart it was something I needed to give Martha. The pendant represents standing up and fighting against hate - exactly what Martha did.

I just came back after meeting, hugging, and talking with Martha for 2 hours - what a genuine humble woman, and the food was great as well.

If you ever stop in Knoxville you should go eat good food from a good soul.

Today is a very important day to reflect. Martin Luther King Jr. worked very hard in fighting for racial equality in the United States. His determination cost him his life, but it did point our country in the right direction, and while there is still progress to be done, a lot has been made. Much of this progress made in his thanks. The LGBT community is still in the fight for complete equality, but just as MLK we must keep pushing until true equality becomes reality. Let us use MLK as an example, let us thank him for giving such a great push in the right direction, and let us keep fighting until the battle is won. Our mission at www.loveandpride.com is important and sincere, and it is people like you who follow us, as well as those who support the cause in your own way, that are making change happen.
